Colossal headThe colossal heads are hallmarks of the Olmec civilization of ancient Mesoamérica. Until we know,there's seventeen stone heads in the states of Veracruz and Tabasco. Most of the colossal heads were sculpted in spherical rocks, except two , found in San Lorenzo Tenochtitlán , which were carved from stone thrones. Most heads dating from the early Preclassic Period (1500-1000 BC.)

It stands on an island in the middle of marshland that forms the Tonala River, which marks the border between Tabasco and Veracruz
